About Plasters of Italy Painting

Our core service is interior painting, however we have a broad range of painting skills and extensive knowledge to provide our customers. Owner Vallie Duncan is hands on with every project. What sets us apart is the personal approach we give to every project. Plasters of Italy has been featured in magazines, award winning show homes, front cover of D-Home magazine and television spots for his Venetian plaster applications.

Advance Painting Skills

In 2002 he flew to Atlanta, GA to take a course in the art of applying Italian Venetian Plaster. After returning to Dallas with his new products and advanced skill sets he made quite an impact on the industry. Therefore, he seems to capture the moment before it occurs, however this is not always the case.

Our Current Path in Painting

Vallie Duncan is equipped with all of the latest tools and equipment needed for interior painting. We provide scaffolding for two story homes and have the latest Festool sanders and HEPA vacuums, spray equipment and power washers for painting interiors and exteriors. Obviously, the more passion you have for your work the better you become at doing it. We use Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paints as the quality and pricing can’t be beat.

When considering a paint finishing company, make your decision base on their portfolio, reviews and customer service. Lastly, we have been fortunate to have wonderful clients. After all its all about communication and honesty that in short, is the key to success.

I highly recommend!! Vallie is an amazing painter who takes great care in getting the right color - whether it’s for a new color of red or gray ;) or to match an existing color... he has amazing patience and a superb work ethic. He not only is superb at what he does but he is a likeable guy- so nice and genuine. He is a gem for sure! I would definitely be using Vallie again!

Finding someone whom you can trust to do work in home is a difficult process. I think in part, because no one treats your home the way you do. Most contractors do not take a personal approach to a project. As a result there is usually a bit of detachment and while you may accept the job when completed, you may never be 100% satisfied. Enter Vallie Duncan, Owner of Plasters of Italy. From the start, he establishes a feeling of trust making you feel more comfortable. He approaches the project, not as a job, but as something he might be doing in his own home. It is a work ethic disappearing from todays world. There is care and a meticulous eye to quality. When finished, you can't feel anything but great because it is how you would have done it yourself, only just a bit better. His pricing is competitive, but it is worth what he does at any price
